Eliza Stone became just the fourth U.S. women’s saber fencer in history to win an individual medal at the Senior World Championships, taking bronze on July 24, 2018 in her fifth appearance at the event. She was a member of the third U.S. women’s saber team in history to win gold at the 2014 worlds and also won team bronze in 2013 and 2015. Eliza Stone is now ranked No. 12 in the world! Congratulations!

The November NAC in Kansas City is behind us, and we saw some phenomenal work there. The athletes who really shined were: Roscoe Swartz Silver Junior Men’s Saber Sapphira Ching Bronze Y14 Women’s Saber earned B rating and got back into US top 10 National Points List Ben Levitt Bronze Cadet Men’s Saber earned A rating Minwolk Kim 7th place Y14 Men’s Saber Great fencing from all of our participants, and we hope our athletes will keep improving in the future! Congratulations to Francesca Russo on winning the SILVER medal at the Div I Women’s Saber event yesterday at the October NAC in Anaheim, Calif. Francesca is currently a member and captain of the NCAA Division I Notre Dame University Fencing Team. She is a two time Individual Women’s Saber NCAA champion (2015 & 2017), 2017 National team champion, a five time national team member for the United States Fencing Association and a 2013 World Champion. She represents Bergen Fencing Club. Way to go!

December 27th thru 31st10:00am to 4:00pmThis camp is open to any and all fencers regardless of skill level: Beginners, Recreational, Advanced, and the Nation’s Elite. Groups will be made based on level and age with the Bergen coaches. Camp activities include: intensive foot work and blade work, fencing strategies and technique, general and special fitness exercises, drills, fencing bouts, fencing videos reviews. Individual Lessons are available after/before the camp hours upon request. What To Bring lunch (Bergen will provide water. A refrigerator and microwave are available for personal use) extra T-shirts small towel complete fencing uniform (including under arm protector, knickers and high socks) 2-3 working weapons and body cords Beginners who don’t have any uniform/equipment will be able to rent or buy it from the club.
